Traveling is like a hobby for most travelers but when it comes to choosing the destination, we go for the one that has suitable weather conditions and excellent scenes.
In May, summer is just around and everybody is looking for a spot where the temperature isn’t too hot.
With this thought in mind, here are some wonderful destinations to visit in May:
#1. Greece
Starting the list with Greece which is a suitable location when it comes to temperature and weather.
It has got beaches and wonderful destinations around. Often called the cradle of Western Civilization, it is the home to 5th century B.C. Acropolis citadel with the Parthenon temple. From the black sands of Santorini to the party resorts of Mykonos, Greece has got everything for travelers.
There’s a world-known festival named Corfu Beach Festival which is celebrated at the end of the month for a few weeks. The annual Rhodian Flower festival and May Day are some more events to view.
The best part about Greece is its weather which is ideal for strolling in a Mykonos marketplace; make sure you visit one of them.
#2. Nepal
On the second spot, we have Nepal which is known as the natural wonderland of Asia. It is located mainly in the Himalayas and has a number of Indo-Gangetic plains, too.
The country is not that crowded which makes it a peaceful destination for travelers around. The best part about visiting Nepal in May is that there are street-dancing celebrations, madal-beating, etc.
Similarly, we have the biggest parties in Patan and Bhaktapur which are go-to spots if you are looking for suitable weather conditions.

If you go through, make sure you visit the Festival of the Roses at Kelaa-des-Mgouna. It is a desert where the country’s biggest rose water industry is located. As a mind-blowing fact, over 700 tons of petals are harvested from the valleys during this month, how great the site would be?
In the meantime, locals celebrate this wonderful time by singing, dancing, and eating their favorite dishes. If you’re interested in rose water and planning to travel this month, Morocco should be your go-to-spot.
#5. Australia
Just like other summer-specific destinations, there’s so much regional variation within Australia.
You get crystal clear moderate days, the temperature is not much (although it rises every week). May is the time when you get to see a world-popular football season and there are several events and festivals taking place.
If you head over to the coast, you’ll find dozens of sharks appearing. This is due to the start of the dry season and sea creatures start cruising over the warm water above the reef.
As it gets usual, we get to see an Annual Whale Shark Festival which lets businesses set up snorkeling services for tourists. Also, you can swim alongside the biggest fish in the world.
Cool place, right?
