As soon as summer arrives, we start planning holiday trips. Some turn to modern cities while some plan for natural scenes.

Greece offers the best natural scenes with romantic sunsets. According to Wikipedia, Greece has about 1200+ islands.

This figure seems surprising but it’s true. Although a few of the islands are inhabited, most of them are modernized and provide all adequate facilities to the tourists.

I have been to some Greece islands, and choosing islands for the trip requires a bit of research.

I mean, you had to choose out of thousands and each looks beautiful. Well, I researched for the ones which are the most popular and beautiful:

Following that list, I visited these eight islands and I have no words for the natural scenes I observed:

The classically designed Santorini is one of the most visited islands here in Greece. This place offers natural romantic scenes and a bit of nightlife.

Located in the rugged black sand beaches of volcanic origin with natural contrasting of white houses and blue sea makes it mesmerizing. There’s a well-settled village on the western side of the island from where you can enjoy those fascinating sunsets.

The village houses are built with a consistent pattern, all whitewashed and on the coast of Fira’s blue sea. Imagine the scenario!

Talking about the best spot, Red Beach which is named after iconic lava colored sand. Some other beaches are White Beach, Perissa, and Kamari.

A walking tour of the village is mandatory if you fly there. This island is worth visiting if you like to capture captivating natural scenes!

#2. Mykonos – Best for Party

Mykonos is a perfect choice for holiday parties. A beautiful island with simple yet beautiful houses. Colonies have narrow streets which gives a fine projection to Cycladic architecture.

Here comes the best part – the crystal clear blue sea which turns it into a 24/7 party island. Dancing clubs are a part of Mykonos and it’s been a favorite vacation spot for Hollywood fantasies. Most visited beaches include paradise beach, Kalafatis, Elia, and Panormos.

If you have got enough money and looking for a party spot, Mykonos is worth a try.

#3. Paxi – Best for Privacy

If you’re traveling with your soulmate and looking for a perfect spot, Paxi is for you. As it is not that mass-crowded, it is liked by couples or any traveler looking for privacy. Restaurants serve fresh fish and tasty seafood.

Stunning beaches like Kloni Gouli, Gianna, and Soulanena are worth visiting. You’ll love the captivating scenes and silence in the evening when tourists from Corfu leave.

Looking for a less-crowded island with fine natural scenes to watch, Paxi is the way to go!

#4. Tilos

Ikaria has three most beautiful beaches; Iero, Kilosirtis, and Therma (known for hot mineral springs).

You can rent a scooter or bike for just a few bucks and explore the streets to make yourself fall in love with its beaches and atmosphere. Most visited beaches near to Skyros are Atitsa, Ahrounes, Palamari, and Gyrismata.

Due to the calmness and no-buzzy atmosphere, Spetses has been used as a wedding island for years. So, you can expect a variety of shops, restaurants, and nightclubs there. Although it lacks sandy beaches, magical and colorful villages are there to cover its beauty.

#8. Zante/Zakynthos

If you’re a beach lover, you should visit an island with the most beautiful beaches. Zante is the only island with several beautiful beaches.

The beach areas are surrounded by white limestone cliffs and boats are used to reach the destination. Reflections change watercolor most of the day and give a neon glow at certain times. Zante was and is the island for beach lovers!
