There are several perfect spots in India to visit. Civilization is eight thousand years old and the culture they’ve got is amazing. I’ve been to India for a couple of times and I loved both; the old and modern tourist spots out there.
And yes, not a single place to visit, rather I have got a list of places that I would recommend everyone to visit once who are heading towards India.
Sorry, the question was what’s the best place to visit?
Okay, you would find my recommendation, in the end, go through these places first:
- Goa – My first destination
Goa has got the best experience of nightlife, beaches, and clubs. It is considered to be the first choice for Indian holidays and they admire the life here.
If you’re a beach lover, this place has got beautiful ones like Vagator, Anjuna, Benaulim, and Calangute. Other than that, night clubs, Anjuna Flea market, Mackie’s night bazaar, Saturday market are the places I love.
You can have a special cruise from Mumbai to Goa which is indeed a wonderful experience. Water sports like kneeboarding, wakeboarding, windsurfing, scuba diving and white water rafting all are available to make your trip memorable.
- Srinagar
If you’re a nature lover like me, I would recommend you to visit Srinagar once. This place is a gem, a heaven on earth I would say!
Visiting Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Dal Lake (boating and night stay in houseboats), Hazratbal Mosque, and Pari Mahal are the spots that I can’t forget. Srinagar has the same moderate weather throughout the year.
I know the place is overwhelmed and terror-stricken but a visit is mandatory if you wanna see how beautiful nature is!
- Andaman
Andaman had the best underwater experience. Whether you like swimming or not, the underground scenery is always a wonderful thing to look at. Once you try underwater experiences there, you’ll keep coming back for more.
Basically, Andaman is fine spot for aqua lovers only. If you’re looking for a beach experience, it has got Radhanagar (one of the finest beach experience in India).
- Binsar
A spot you might have seen in National Geographic, Binsar is filled with wildlife. I like the peaceful environment, jungles and the heights over here. Chilling weather is also there to bloom your experience.
Binsar is located in the heart of Kumaoni and you can reach this natural spot directly from Pantnagar airport covering around 150 kilometers by road.
Barking deer, leopard, Himalayan bear, flying squirrel, porcupine, and chital are some of the species found here.
The place’s weather gets moderate in October and November, so if you’re traveling with your family, visit within these months.
- Kerala
Just like Srinagar, Kerala is another natural spot I would recommend everyone to visit. Luscious green trees, crazy wildlife experience, and pristine water make it special.
If you’re in the twenties and looking for a bike experience through nature, Kerala is the spot for you!
It is called ‘heaven of green’ because of the greenery it has got. You can do camping, experience wildlife closely and enjoy the natural water sceneries. You can imagine the beauty from this; I planned for a week but stopped for three weeks. I really admire this place, an open invitation to all nature lovers!
- Kanatal
When I first visited Kanatal, I felt like nature made this place for camping only. Hills covered with trees, cold weather and a mesmerizing breeze travel all the way.
It is known as the best spot for camping. However, in April, this place is a bit crowded and you won’t experience camping. So visiting after April or in the ending months is a great choice as the spot has got less crowd, which makes camping possible.
- Kasol
I guess Kasol is truly made for solo travelers. You can do trekking, finding yourself in the calm hills, with absolute no sounds, this place is a paradise for the ones traveling alone.
If you’re going through a tough time or having some great workload pressure, visit Kasol once. You’ll get back energized and stress-free.
About the best time to visit; from October to June, you’ll experience the best of Kasol. Don’t forget to visit Kheerganga peak, Parvati River, Malana village, Manikaran Sahib and Bhuntar.
- Kutch
Whenever I have to travel alone, I travel to no-man places. Kutch is one of the no man’s islands and is covered with a seasonal salt march with Thar (a desert) passing by. If you’re looking to calm yourself with distraction less atmosphere, Kutch is there for you.
The white stretch on the desert is a great sight to look at. Prag Mahal, Archaeological Museum, and Aina Mahal are some other attractions to visit once.
I loved the food taste there whether you try Noorani or Annapurna restaurant. Maybe food and calmness is the reason I visited the place twice. 😉
Final Thoughts
No doubt India has got great spots and attraction for travelers. The Thar desert, Himalayas and wildlife are nothing but a blessing. You find four seasons here with each weather taste. Each spot has got the best months whereby the weather and atmosphere are excellent for trips.
Another thing about traveling to India is, it’s pretty cheap. You can stay for weeks for a minimum, maybe it is due to the currency rates.
Last but not least, the old monuments and buildings like Taj Mahal are wonderful to look at. As you go through these places, they speak and tell stories about the past.
Okay, as I promised so my best place in India to visit is Andaman!
Hope you liked your virtual tour to India. 😀
