Full 🙏 St. Gertrude Prayer for Souls in Purgatory
O holy St. Gertrude the Great,
faithful daughter of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
you were chosen by God to be a friend of souls in purgatory
and a messenger of His boundless mercy.
With the quill of your heart,
you wrote words of love and devotion,
teaching us to offer prayers for those
who long for the light of Heaven.
I humbly ask you to intercede for the souls in purgatory,
especially those most forgotten and abandoned.
May the Precious Blood of Jesus wash over them,
bringing comfort to their suffering,
peace to their spirits,
and swift entry into eternal joy.
Through your prayers,
may I too learn to trust in the mercy of God,
live a life of faith and compassion,
and never forget to pray for those in need of His light.
St. Gertrude, beloved of the Sacred Heart,
pray for us and for all the holy souls.
