What Are The Most Surreal Places To Visit?

Most Surreal Places To Visit

Our beautiful planet has got everything; mountains, landscapes, beaches, and amazing jungles that are a must-visit place for everyone.

When it comes to surreal places, we’re going to talk about some of the most unusual and mind-blowing spots out there.

I have been traveling for a long and these are the most surreal places on Earth that I visited; believe me, you’ll love the environment that is unimaginable:

#1. The ‘Devil’s throat’, Argentina

Devil’s throat, Argentina

Known as the ‘Iguazú Falls’ and in the beautiful country of Argentina, you’ll find this place covered with greenery and trees around. In between there comes the waterfall the most surreal place to visit.

Individuals call it “Devil’s throat” for a reason as you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking rush. As water moves down to your foot, the thought of being swept away starts ticking. You just have to move ahead, or if you stop, your fear will take you back.

When I first visited the amazing falls where the sound of the water rush is just amazing, I hold my nerves up to the mark but still, the sound and unpredictable experience shook my body and mind.

#2. The Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

The Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

Imagine the world around you go completely white with cactuses standing within. This is where Bolivia’s desert makes its place.

It was once a prehistoric lake and now it is dried to become a desert-like landscape of white, flat, and endless salt. So you get to see the world in white. Just save for a desert vehicle and start moving. There’s an island named Isla Incahuasi that is filled with cactus plants. The experience is definitely minded shaking as you see.

The best part of my trip was viewing the white-colored desert from the hills nearby.

#3. Southern Iceland

I am a waterfalls lover and so here’s the second spot that undoubtedly offered me a fantastic experience.

If I define Southern Iceland, I’ll repeat these three words; waterfalls, waterfalls, waterfalls, and that’s it. If you are a nature lover and want to see the miracles in real life, I would suggest you visit Southern Iceland once.

When I first visited this surreal place in real life, I couldn’t believe the blue waterfalls and landscapes are real until I explored for the whole day. Amazing place to visit and photograph some great natural scenes. Yes, it’s a heaven for nature lovers.

#4. The Catacombs, Paris, France

The Catacombs, Paris, France

An unbelievable fact, about six million people lay buried in the depths of France’s catacombs. Their remains were brought from overpopulated cities and villages around during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and sacked up to create a mind-blowing display.

The only word ‘surreal’ can define this place. If you love horror and are interested in watching the old remains of beings, it should be on your destination list.

Just head over to Paris and from the bus stops you’ll find routes for this historic place where skeletons and bones live. If you’re strong-hearted and love to explore the unusual stuff, you should go. If you’re not that strong, it might be a bad experience.

I am sure you’re strong, so Catacombs is your next destination. 😀

#5. Pig Beach, Big Major Cay, the Bahamas

blank

How about swimming with pigs in the Bahamas. It is undoubtedly a fantastic experience. Several individuals get back without swimming just because of fear but that’s not my thing. I swam across for hours. I took some underwater shots, and a few selfies with pigs and the overall experience was amazing.

Just have something to eat for these pigs and you’ll get back with some new friends. On the beach that offers an in-depth great view, you can relax, listen to your favorite music and enjoy the partially-white landscape.

#6. Tsingy de Bemaraha, Madagascar

Tsingy de Bemaraha

I know you have watched the Madagascar animated series where a legendary story of lions has been shared.

Madagascar is the place where the forest begins. You will find giant rifts on the rock that create ecosystems with each peak located. It’s somewhat off the beaten track, you have to make your way to explore things and amazing forests. It’s a bit old place but you’ll fall in love with the birdy sounds and irregular scenery created by slopes and rocks around.

Don’t go alone, plan with a few friends and go as it is a bit risky.

#7. St Basil’s Cathedral, Russia

St Basil’s Cathedral

Want Cinderella to be greeting you?

Just enter St Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow’s Red square. Probably the city’s number-one tourist hotspot, because of the old architecture and love for Cathedral.

The fact is that this beautiful masterpiece is standing here in Moscow since the mid-16th century. The government spends a lot to maintain this beautiful building, and if you’re an architecture lover, you should visit this place with a curious mind. Take pictures from the inside out and find how amazing the architects were.

It gave me goosebumps when I saw around 500-years old paintings and luxuries and I am sure the same will happen to you. 😉

#8. Grand Prismatic Spring, Wyoming, USA

Grand Prismatic Spring

The largest hot spring out there in the States and the third-largest in the world. Grand Prismatic Spring is something you probably find in your dreams. Water hot springs in between and rocks around everywhere.

It is located at the beautiful spot, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The mineral-rich water creates a multi-colored pattern when you take a shot from a greater altitude. If you’re really looking for the most surreal places, add this one to your travel list now.
