Road trip snacks can be choosy sometimes but I have got some great choices. I made those choices by trying a variety of snacks on road trips I took. All these snacks have one thing in common, they all are tasty.
So, here are my choices for tasty and easy-to-pack road trip snacks:
Road Trip Snack #1. Granola Trail Mix
Granola Trail Mix can be used as a road trip snack. No doubt it is super tasty and beneficial for health.
Ingredients:
To make Granola Trail Mix, prepare these:
- 1 package of banana-nut granola (16 ounces)
- Raisins comprise of 15 ounces
- Honey roasted peanuts (12 ounces)
- Milk chocolate (12.6 ounces)
Try yourself:
Take a large bowl and make sure that all the above ingredients can be easily available for you. Place them in that bowl. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl, after that place Granola Trail Mix into an airtight jar. Granola Trail Mix snacks are ready for your road trip.

You need two large bowls as you need to place some ingredients separate to make this recipe. After that, you need 12 ounces of miniature pretzels and It will be one package only, add pretzels into the large bowl. Place bulges into the bowl and the bugles should be around 5 ounces and It will produce around 2 packages.
You need to combine ingredients in separate bowls. Place salted cashews and miniature cheddar cheese fish-shaped crackers in the same bowl. 10 ounces of salted cashews and 6 ounces of crackers should be added in another bowl to make this beautiful recipe. Combine all the ingredients properly and drizzle them with oil, It should be well coated, after that store the mixture in airtight. Your Ranch snack mix is ready to be placed in the backpack.

Oh! I love muffins, I recommend you to make muffins for your road trip and it can be carried as road trip snacks. Muffins are super tasty and kids love to eat, you can make muffins of variant flavors but banana muffins have got a unique taste.

Take a large bowl as you need to place some ingredients in to mix up, well combine dry ingredients ( 1.1/2 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1 tsp of baking soda and 1/2 tsp of salt) in a bowl.
Take another bowl for another mixture; first, you need to mash the bananas then add egg, oil, and vanilla in that bowl. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl. Now take the first bowl and stir dry ingredients. Fill the cups with the mixture. Remember that you can only bake the muffins at 375 degrees for around 20 minutes. After that cool for some minutes and place them at a cool place, your backpack I meant!

Road Trip Snack #4. Sweet & Salty Peanut Butter Bites
Sweat & salty peanut butter bites are recommended by tour guides, too. Adults and kids both love it!
I always carry Peanut Butter Bites in my backpack when I am on a road trip. Thus, it’s a compulsory road trip snack for me. 😀
Make Yourself:
First of all, you need chocolate chips and freeze them with peanut butter cups. Freeze them for 15 minutes, no matter if they are partially frozen. Now you need sugar, corn syrup and salt and mix them, after that you need to cook peanut butter, sugar, corn syrup, and salt, with continuous stirring.
After stirring overheat, now stir them with rice Krispies and pretzels until coated. Mix the chocolate chip and peanut butter cups, your snacks are ready!

Road Trip Snack #5. Thyme-Sea Salt Crackers
Thyme-Sea Salt crackers are one of the easy to make snacks. Solo travelers recommend it as it’s crispy and light in weight, so you can make a lot of it.
Ingredients:
Purpose flour, White whole wheat flour, Salt, Water, Olive oil, Minced fresh thyme, and Sea or kosher salt.
Try Yourself:
You need an oven to preheat at a temperature of 375 degrees. Now you need whisk flour and salt, place them in a large bowl. Add water and oil and mix with a fork. Make sure the surface should be lightly floured otherwise it will distort the recipe.
Now make portions by cutting now mix thyme and sea salt over crackers, bake the mixture for 9 to 11 minutes until it gets browned.
