I have been traveling for long, visited Europian, African & Asia countries and the experience was fantastic. Practically, each destination has got something unique for visitors.
Here are some of the best places in the world I would suggest you visit once:
1. New York, USA
New York is my favorite and so I am listing it first. The city is the fourth-most densely populated city in the US and is known for the world’s major financial, commercial and cultural centers.
The attractions like Times Square, the skyscrapers of Wall Street, and the play area of New Yorkers; Central park are worth visiting. New York is known as the city that never sleeps and it’s so true. The extravagant nightlife what is full of music, fashion and life. You’ll never experience the buzz that NY owes to its visitors.
If you ever visit New York, make sure to do a walking tour in Times Square and watch how fast the city and its people are. The hustle-bustle, music sounds are there 24/7. Don’t forget to visit the MoMa exhibition hall which covers the heritage of almost every civilization. Later, visit Wall Street and take a look at the New York Stock Exchange and luxuries around. And yes, don’t forget to visit Central Park to relax and enjoy the natural scenes. Hustle bustle and Central Park, what a contrast!
You can visit NY anytime but for January and December; it’s extreme cold out there. However, summer is moderate in August, too.
2. Maroon Bells, USA
Another spot from the US; Maroon Bells is located at a distance of 12 miles from Aspen. The most beautiful natural destination I have ever been to. Two peaks of Elk mountain and the Maroon lake in between is the most-photographed landscape in the country.
If you ever visit the lake, you’ll find a majestic image reflected in its crystal clear water. To reach the lake, you have to take the public bus that departs from Aspen Highlands. If you are a true admirer of nature, you’ll keep visiting Maroon lake frequently.
The best time to visit is during winter when you can reach the peaks via a snowmobile or cross-country skis. T-Lazy Ranch organizes these fun and thrilling tours.
If you’ve been to Aspen and didn’t visit Maroon Bells, you are missing the most wonderful natural scenery. And yes, don’t forget to capture a photo in front of the lake with Elk mountain peaks in behind.
3. Bangkok, Thailand
Bangkok, the city of street food, unending nights and skyscrapers. The capital of Thailand has got old to modern civilizations living. At the same time, you’ll find 200-year-old-villages and modern infrastructure buildings reaching for the skies.
Beautiful Buddhist temples are a must-visit place if you’re interested to learn about Buddhism. The city is a perfect combo of rich nightlife and traditional culture. It is best known for the great shopping experiences featuring local markets, night markets, and several malls to find anything.
The street food there is another reason behind the buzz, you can choose from a variety of local dishes from street stalls or delicious cuisines at modern restaurants.
If you ever visit Bangkok, make sure to walk around and take a look at nightlife which has no match across the globe. Make sure you visit between late November and mid-January.
4. Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Bora Bora is an island in French Polynesia and is one of the most visited islands around the world. The islands we watch in movies become a reality at Bora Bora. Holidify calls it “a dreamy island with utmost professional beauty”.
Matira Beach is a must-visit spot for Bora Bora visitors. If you’re going through tough times like most of us do, just pay a visit to Matira Beach, look at the sand kissing blue water and a swim in warm water will let you forget your stressful thoughts and tensions.
Another highlight of the island is it’s water sports. Sports including jet skiing, boating, canoeing, scuba diving, and snorkeling what you can experience with perfection. I always wanted to look at the underwater life, and scuba diving and Bora Bora made it possible.
Other than water sports, you can’t ignore the land activities. With a 4×4 jeep safaris, explore the island of Bora Bora, reach the Mount Pahia or Mount Otemanu. Just make sure to have a complete tour of the island on wheels to get to know about the history and significance. If you’re tight on budget, renting a bike is great for the island tour. If your body allows, you can climb the hills of Mount Pahia or Mount Otemanu and see how beautiful the island is.
If you’re planning to visit Bora Bora, make sure it is between May to October as the weather is moderate in these months.
5. Angkor Wat, Cambodia
If you’re heading over to Asia, make sure to visit the Kingdom of Cambodia. It is located in the southeast of the continent and Angkor Wat is the most beautiful attraction in the Kingdom. You’ll love the amazing architecture throughout the city. Hindu temples complex, Angkor Wat is surrounded by the largest religious monument in the world (measuring 162.6 hectares).
The construction of these temples relates to the 12th century which was for the god Vishnu in the era of the Khmer Empire. Later the temple was transformed into a Buddhist religious place. If you’re an admirer of history and old monuments, you should visit Angkor Wat once.
It is one of those heritage sites that were built by Suryavarman II which took 35 years to get the real shape.
